Course Code



This course introduces radio engineers and planners into the basic principles of cell planning and capacity calculations of LTE network.

LTE capacity and expected throughput are estimated, considering all parameters that affect performance like MAC scheduler and SINR conditions. Also control channels are considered to fulfill certain threshold conditions and finally capacity calculations are taken into consideration regarding expected bandwidth over IP transport.

Practical exercises and case studies are illustrating the overall planning ideas.
